Active Military Service Members, Veterans, First Responders & Families
At Operation Equine, you are more than a statistic. We see you as more than your rank, your years of service, and your years of trauma. All of those aspects are important, and they are a significant part of who you are. But we know that you are also fathers and mothers, sons and daughters, and members of your families/communities.
Living a life of service to your country and communities is an honorable choice to make. At Operation Equine, we recognize that there are sacrifices that accompany that choice. Although there are similarities between service members/veterans and first responders (many veterans choose to continue their service careers through becoming first responders), we also see, acknowledge, honor, and address the unique differences between the two.
We passionately believe in the mental and emotional well-being of families, defined as you define “family.” When we can learn to acknowledge and address our own strengths and challenges, when we can face our fears and our traumas and learn skills/tools to better work through them, we can learn to communicate and share them with our loved ones more clearly. With more compassion, for ourselves and for them.
“When we are no longer able to change a situation, we are challenged to change ourselves.” ― Viktor E. Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning
At Operation Equine, we believe in the concept that the healthier an individual is, the healthier and stronger their families are, which in turn, makes for a stronger, happier, and healthier country.
That’s why we not only work with individuals, but we also are committed to serving the spouses, partners, children, family members, and caregivers, as well.
